It’s a bit boggling, yet pretty instructive, to browse through this directory of sites that paint themselves with the Web 2.0 brush, auto-tagged with hipness and religious zeal (not to mention a curious fondness for blue and gray)!
FWIW, I do believe the 2.0 moniker is a productive rallying cry for the emerging new world where useful web-based applications become mainstream, and the architecture of participation morphs us to a fundamental new orders of things. However, rampant trendiness and “VC pile-on” behavior always provides reason for pause. (more…)
